Hey there everybody, long time no see. 

Just when I was being consistent with posting school swept me away. But thank god I'm fine, well and ready to post.

السلام عليكم لكل القراء، من زمان عنكم عساكم بخير؟ من يوم ما حسيت إني بديت انظم حياتي مع المدونة تجي المدرسة بأشغالها. بس الحمد لله إني بخير وصحة والحمد لله لقيت الوقت اكتب لكم هذه التدوينة (وغيرها

This time its featuring a lovely little discovery of mine, ArtBox SA.

I will be unboxing the March Box and in another post you'll see what I was able to do with the materials.

هذه المرة بركز الانتباه على احد الاكتشافات الجميلة، متأكدة إنكم سمعتوا عنه قريب وهو ارت بوكس (صندوق الفن).

وفي هذه التدوينة بوريكم وش جوا صندوق شهر مارس، في تدوينة ثانية بإذن الله بنزلها قريب بوريكم شلون استعملت أغراض هالشهر.

A little bit about the box, its a monthly subscription box based in the KSA, this is their second box ever so they're still a small business. Nevertheless its a very valuable idea and box I knew I had to get one (or 9 hahaha) ever since I heard about it.

The subscriptions range from a 3 month plan to 9 months, you can view more details on their website and instagram.

بس معلومات شوي عن الصندوق، هو صندوق تشتركين فيه شهريًا وهو مشروع سعودي. وصندوق هذا الشهر هو ثاني صندوق لهم من بدايتهم للمشروع، هو ما يزال مشروع صغير لكن حجمه ما يدل على قيمته العظيمة، من يوم ما دريت عنه وانا اقول لازم اخذ لي واحد (او ٩، ههه)

الاشتراك ممكن يكون ٣ ، ٦، او ٩ شهور. ولمعلومات

أكثر زوروا موقعهم او انستجرامهم.

So lets get on with the unboxing shall we?

نقول بسم الله وخليني أوريكم وش كان جوا صندوق هذا الشهر.

 

This is the box, I love their logo! The typography is splendid.

هذا شكل الصندوق من برا، حبيت الشعار! دمج الخطوط هذا مرة حلو.

We open it up to this black string type of thing, I know this isn't part of the materials but you can utilize this artistically. I threw it away, lol. But yeah, it can be. Really anything can be.

أول ما فتحت الصندوق لقيت هذه شرايط الهدايا السودة، من الصورة بس اتوقع عرفتوها فما احتاج أشرح (الصراحة خانتني العبرة في شرحها) المهم صحيح مب جزء من الأدوات بس الجو الفني حول هذا الصندوق خلاني أفكر فيها بطريقة فنية، الصراحة رميتها بس ممكن تستعمل فنيًا، أصلًا كل شي تقريبًا يستعمل فنيًا.. صح؟

 

So I'll dive into each material offered, starting with the blue and orange acrylic paints from Apple Barrel. Their appointed names are Apricot and Turquoise.

أول الأدوات كان ألوان الأكريلك هذه. برتقالي وأزرق من ماركة أبل باريل. أساميهم موجودة بالصورة.

I have used the Apricot one quite a lot since receiving it, and I'll show you in a future blogpost (inshalla) how. Oh yeah just to be clear this isn't an "organic reaction" unboxing I've had this box for about 2 weeks? Yeah around that.

استعملت البرتقالي كثير من يوم ما جاني بالصندوق، في تدوينة قادمة بوريكم كيف (إن شاء الله)

اي صح نسيت اقولكم ترا الصندوق له عندي أسبوعين تقريبًا بس ما لقيت وقت اكتبه للحين. فيعني كان لي وقت شوي استعمل كم شي.

They belong to the same company as FolkArt, which is the acrylic paint company I depend on as of late, but these are sheerer in my opinion.. At least the Apricot one I haven't used the Turquoise, that's not necessarily a bad thing sheer paints can be used in many different ways and are useful, this was just a note on the paint.

I loved the shade I used and can't wait to use Turquoise.

على العلبة مكتوب بلايد، وهي نفس شركة فولك ارت. وفولك ارت هي شركة الوان الاكريلك إلي استعملها أكثر شي. بس ابل باريل (من الي استعملته) حسيته اخف منهم في رأيي. استعملت بس البرتقالي فما أدري عن الازرق. بس ترا خفة الألوان مب عيب فيها، تراهم مرة مفيدين ويمديكم تستعملونهم بطرق مختلفة. بس حبيت أبين هالشي لكم.

مرة مرة حبيت البرتقالي ومرة متحمسة إني استعمل الازرق.

Next is this brush, I freaked out when I saw it. This isn't a brand I'm familiar with but simply look at this beauty! Not only is it aesthetically pleasing but the grip of the brush helped in making this comfortable to use and gives you more control, and the size of it is one I'm constantly in need of. I see this being used mostly for watercolor, because I used it in staining a paper with tea (which is a lighter stain and needs work to be built up) and it worked well with that watery medium so I assumed as much, it seems like it'll be destroyed by something like oil or acrylic (most of my brushes would be destroyed by oil lets be real haha)

The only thing I know is that its a number 5 from a brand I cannot figure out, help me.

ثاني أداة هي ذي الفرشة. يعني الحماس لما شفتها كان مو طبيعي. الماركة ما اعرفها بس تشوفون إلي اشوفه!؟ الخشب والكتابة الذهبية ، بشكل عام كل عناصر شكلها يعطيها جمالها. وهذه مو ميزة الفرشة الوحيدة، مسكتها مريحة مرة ويعطيك تحكم بالفرشة، وحجمها مناسب بالنسبة لي دايم احتاج فرش صغيرة، مرة اعجبني حجمها.

حسيتها مرة تناسب الأشياء إلي أساسها مائي، يعني ألوان مائية مثلًا. استعملتها مع شاي عشان اعتق ورقة (طبعات الشاي أخف وتحتاج شغل أكثر من ناحية الطبقات عشان تبان، بس أحب تأثيرها) ولأن تعاملي مع شي مرة مائي زي الشاي بها كان ناجح حسيت إنه مع غيرها بتكون ناحجة بعد.

بس أحس مع الأكريلك أو الزيتي بتتدمر (أغلب فرشي بتتدمر مع الزيتي ههه) ما أعرف عن الفرشة شي غير إنها رقم ٥ من ماركة ما عرفتها، ساعدوني الله يعافيكم.

After that is this air-dry clay from the brand Masco, now this type of clay is very nostalgic for me since throughout my school years, every art class I took required one at some point. I have loads of past clay projects stored away somewhere in my house, and a few I have lying around my room. I did dread clay everytime the teacher asked us to use it, but it is a material that brings the most artistic memories for me.

Anyways, its nice to go back to it now as someone who has gained an interest in art (which I didn't in the past) and experiment with it, I am interested to see what I end up doing with it.

وبعد هذا نجي للعجينة. عجينة تنشف بالهواء من ماركة ماسكو. نوع هذه العجينة بالذات يسترجع لي ذكريات المدرسة. ما خلت حصص الفنية ،خصوصًا في الابتدائي، منها (ما تذكرون عجينة داز ؟ ادري يا قدمي) يا كثر أعمال الطفولة بالعجينة ذي وعندي أغلبهم لسا. كنت دايم أشيل هم لما تطلبه المعلمة، ورغم كذا ما يزال هو أكثر شي يسترجع لي ذكريات فنية.

وحلو إني الحين برجع له إن شاء الله بنظرة جديدة كوحدة مهتمة في الفن وتحب تجرب، عكس أول كنت أكره حصص الفنية.

تحمست وش ممكن أسوي بها.

 In conjunction with the clay this little sculpting tool was included in the box, it has a nice ball tip perfect for giving your clay sculpture (is it called a sculpture? Really not brushed up on clay art lingo)

Not only do I see this good for clay-based works, it can be used in stippling with ink or paint, giving dotted details in other words. A dotting tool is what I'm trying to say.

ولأن كان فيه عجينة بالصندوق، جت هذه الأداة معها تساعدك في إنه تعطين عملك الفني تفاصيله. أحس مو بس لأعمال العجين تستعمل ممكن مع لون أو حبر تعطين تفاصيل نقطية.

Last but not least, this beautiful sticker was included too. It features an artist's artwork in the background along with a phrase of gratitude (basically thank you for subscribing). The artwork is amazing, I immediately followed the artist when I got this sticker, her name is Sarah and her art instagram is @smakesart.

أخيرًا وليس آخرًا هذا الستكر الجميل. فيه عمل فني لفنان(ة) الشهر مع عبارة شكر. العمل الفني لذا الشهر جميل مرة وعلى طول رحت سويت فولو للفنانة. اسمها سارة (سميتي) وحسابها بحطه هنا

So that's all what is in this box, but this blogpost isn't coming to an end. I need to show you all the interior of the box.

شايفين إلي أنا أشوفه؟ شايفين الجمال ما شاء الله تبارك الله؟

حسافة أرميه، فقررت أسوي فيه شي:

Acrylic paint housing anyone? You might've seen this on my art instagram or Artbox's instagram, yes god bless their souls they reposted it and it made me over the moon ecstatic.

The next box will most definitely house my larger tubes of paint. Inshalla.

خليته بيت لألواني الأكريلك، يمكن شفتوه في انستجرامي حق الرسم أوانتسجرام ارت بوكس لأنهم نشروه عندهم بعد الله يعافيهم مرة اسعدني ذاك الشي.

إن شاء الله الصندوق الجاي بيكون مكان لألواني إلي أكبر من ذولي.

Final verdict? Love it, especially the inclusion of the clay and tool made this an experimental box for me. The paints came at a crucial time for me (Everyday is a crucial time for paint for me), I fell in love with Apricot so thank you for that alone.. Actually thank you for the brush because its the closest thing to perfect I have now, I can't get enough of its beauty.

رأيي في الصندوق؟ حبيته مرة! خصوصًا لما شفت العجينة والأداة. رغم إنه أول ما شفته ما أعجبني الوضع وما حسيت بارتياحية بس هذا هدف الفن، مو لازم أكون مرتاحة بكل الأدوات لازم أبدأ أجرب وأكمل أجرب. ودايم أنا في حاجة للألوان فجت هذه بالوقت المناسب (لو تجي بكرا مرة ثانية باعتبره وقت مناسب بعد لأني زي ما قلت دايم في حاجة للألوان) بالذات اللون البرتقالي المشمشي هذا وقعت في غرامه. الفرشة خاينتي الكلمات لتعبيري عن حبي لها وشكري لفريق ارت بوكس عليها
